Application & Bid
Information
Applications
for Individual Training Accounts
The West
Central Georgia Workforce Investment Board (WCGWIB) is accepting
applications for Training Provider Agreements for the period
July 6, 2006 through June 30, 2007 under the Workforce
Investment Act for training services to eligible adults,
dislocated workers and older youth. Services are provided for
the Region 4 Workforce Investment Area which includes the
counties of Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether,
Pike, Spalding, Troup, and Upson. The training services are
provided through “Individual Training Accounts” established for
individuals to finance their training.
Applications
should include programs of training services or courses of study
requested for approval. Approval will result in a Training
Provider Agreement which will provide reimbursement only for
tuition and other approved individual costs such as books,
supplies and entrance fees. Training included in the application
must exist at the time of application and courses must be
currently available.
Provider
applications must be approved by the WCGWIB and will then be
forwarded to the Georgia Department of Labor (GDL) for review.
Upon finalization of the review by GDL, the training provider
and the approved programs will be included on the State Eligible
Provider List as published state-wide through One Stop Centers.
Applications are accepted throughout the program year, but
referrals are based upon availability of federal funds.
